In one of the Sherlock Holmes shorts,Holmes is pretending to be delerious because of an attempted poisoning. He criticizes watsonas a ‘second rate GP’ and refuses watson’s offer of help.(He’s using Watson to lure the criminal out of hiding,as he later explains.)
“That was unworthy of you ,Holmes”,Watson replies.That’s how I feel about this little Jibe against-I suppose fox news.It’s a kind of playing to your gallery , but I don’t know what else it’s supposed to signify. And I am surprised you got even one person to be an echo chamber.
Sorry, I don’t exactly follow your Sherlock Holmes analogy, corwin. Either way, the image was intended to be comic relief, as I noted. That FOX News, a supposedly respectable news source, misidentified Iraq as Egypt should seem a bit absurd, even to die-hard Republicans.
This kind of thing happens to every network. No liberal myself, I still found it funny — but I’d laugh if it were MSNBC too.
